Who I am

My name is Elena Maroto and I am a Spanish woman living in France. I am a computer scientist freelancing as full stack web developer.

What I can do for you and your company

I can develop your window to the world, by translating your webapp idea into a reality. I can understand and interpret your needs to create the product which will best answer to them. I can work independently or in a team, remotely or in your offices (on request and quotation). Whatever the environment, communication is always key for a successful development.

My soft skills

Attention to detail, good team work, team management, communication, analysis and leadership skills.

My hard skills

At Le Wagon Aix-Marseille , I have developed my skills on Ruby, Ruby on Rails, HTML, CSS, Javascript, SQL, git, GitHub, Heroku, amongst others.

Where I am now

I have become a freelance web developer through Le Wagon bootcamp, rated best coding bootcamp in the world.

I always enjoyed coding but my professional career gradually took me away from the more technique jobs. In 2017 I took the leap to update my skills and become a full stack web developer, with a clear preference for the backend.

Where I have been before

For the last 20 years I have been working for big groups (Accenture, Altadis, Daimler, Airbus) always in the IT field. I have been a SAP specialist and a certified « PMP Project Manager » by the « PMI Institute ». I have worked in several fields including finance, sales and project management itself (SAP PPM implementation). For more details about my career, you can check my linkedin profile

Languages

I am Spanish by birth, lived in the US for two years and have been living in France for the last six, so I am fluent in all three languages: Spanish (native), English (bilingual) and French (bilingual).

International experience

I have worked for the most part in Spain, the US and France, but I have also worked in projects with customers in 12 more different countries. If you are interested in the details, I will be happy to share them with you.

My hobbies

I have many interests which include, not necessarily in this order, travelling, cooking, dancing, photography and all kinds of art in general; Japan, Japanese food and Japanese language (which I am trying to learn) and in general everything that my curiosity feels like exploring.
